Sony Digital Camera

Sony Digital Cameras

Sony is the world’s third largest manufacturer of digital cameras, behind the leaders Canon and Nikon. Sony offers a range of digital cameras. The point and shoot models go under the branding of 'Cybershot.' Digital single-lens reflex models are branded with the 'Alpha' name.

The first Cyber shot was first introduced in 1996. Sony entered the market for digital single-lens reflex cameras in 2006 when it acquired the camera business of Konica Minolta. Sony then rebranded the company’s line of digital cameras as its 'Alpha' line.
